Polyester-Based Media
Polyester Singed (PES) is a versatile and economical filter media characterized by its thermally treated surface that reduces fiber shedding and improves dust cake release. Operating at temperatures up to 275°F (135°C) continuous, PES offers excellent flex strength and good abrasion resistance. The singing process creates a smoother surface texture that prevents deep particle embedding while maintaining high collection efficiency. This media is particularly well-suited for general dust collection applications, including wood dust, mineral processing, and other dry particulate filtration needs.
Polyester Oleophobic features a specialized surface treatment that repels both oil and water, making it ideal for challenging environments where moisture or oil mist is present. Polyester Duo Density employs an innovative dual-layer construction that combines a fine filtration surface with a more open, heavy-duty support backing. This combination makes it particularly effective in applications requiring high efficiency filtration while handling challenging dust characteristics or variable operating conditions.
Polyester PTFEM represents a premium filtration solution featuring a PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) membrane laminated to a polyester substrate. This combination delivers exceptional filtration efficiency exceeding 99.99% while maintaining superior dust cake release properties. The PTFE membrane provides an extremely fine filtration surface that captures submicron particles while preventing particle penetration into the base media. This media excels in applications requiring the highest levels of filtration efficiency, such as pharmaceutical processing, chemical manufacturing, and food-grade applications.
Polyester Micro Denier utilizes ultra-fine fibers to create a dense filtration surface capable of capturing very fine particles while maintaining reasonable pressure drop characteristics. Polyester Woven Seamless offers a unique construction that eliminates the traditional side seam, reducing the potential for dust leakage and failure points. This media is particularly valuable in applications where maintaining absolute filtration integrity is crucial or where bag failure could result in significant process contamination.
Polyester Woven provides a robust and durable filtration solution characterized by its tight weave pattern and strong fiber construction. This media offers excellent dimensional stability and good air permeability while maintaining effective particle capture. The woven construction provides good resistance to flex fatigue and abrasion, making it suitable for applications with demanding mechanical conditions or where frequent cleaning cycles are required.
Polyester Woven PTFEM combines the strength and durability of woven polyester with the enhanced filtration efficiency of a PTFE membrane. This combination provides excellent mechanical properties while delivering superior filtration performance. The PTFE membrane surface ensures exceptional dust cake release and prevents fine particle penetration, while the woven polyester base provides structural integrity and durability.
Polyester Twill Combo features a specialized weave pattern that provides enhanced durability and improved dust cake release characteristics. Polyester Acrylic blends the beneficial properties of both polyester and acrylic fibers to create a media with enhanced chemical resistance and improved temperature stability. This combination provides good filtration efficiency while offering better resistance to certain chemical environments compared to standard polyester. The media is particularly useful in applications where mild chemical exposure is present along with moderate temperature requirements.
High-Temperature Media
Aramid Woven is engineered for high-temperature applications up to 400°F (204°C) continuous operation. The woven aramid construction provides excellent dimensional stability and mechanical strength while maintaining good air permeability. This media is particularly valuable in applications combining high temperatures with mechanical stress, such as industrial furnaces and high-temperature process equipment.
Aramid Felt delivers superior filtration efficiency in high-temperature environments through its dense felt construction. The media provides excellent particle capture while maintaining good dust cake release properties at elevated temperatures. The felt construction offers better surface filtration compared to woven aramid, making it ideal for applications requiring fine particle capture at high temperatures.
Aramid/Tandem (Denier) combines different aramid fiber sizes and constructions to optimize both filtration efficiency and durability. This hybrid approach provides enhanced performance characteristics while maintaining the high-temperature capabilities of aramid fibers. The media is particularly effective in applications requiring both high-temperature resistance and superior filtration performance.
Aramid Oleophobic features aramid fibers with an oleophobic treatment, providing both high-temperature capability and resistance to oil contamination. This combination makes it particularly valuable in high-temperature applications where oil mist or other hydrophobic contaminants are present. The oleophobic treatment maintains its effectiveness at elevated temperatures while preserving the inherent strength of the aramid fibers.
Traditional and Specialized Media
Cotton Sateen offers a natural fiber solution with excellent filtration characteristics and good breathability. The sateen weave creates a smooth surface that facilitates good dust cake release while providing effective particle capture. This media is particularly suitable for applications requiring natural fibers or where synthetic materials are not preferred.
Victor Nylon provides a durable and chemical-resistant filtration solution with excellent flex strength and abrasion resistance. The specialized nylon construction offers good dimensional stability and reliable performance in challenging environments. This media is particularly effective in applications requiring chemical resistance combined with mechanical durability.
18oz Twill Nylon features a heavy-duty twill construction that provides superior strength and durability. The 18-ounce weight offers robust performance in demanding applications while maintaining good filtration characteristics. The twill weave pattern enhances dust cake release while providing excellent mechanical properties.
Rubber Coated Nylon (RCN) combines a nylon base with a protective rubber coating to provide enhanced chemical resistance and moisture protection. This construction offers excellent durability in wet environments while maintaining effective filtration performance. The rubber coating provides additional protection against chemical attack and moisture penetration.
1.4oz Unipoly 135 (Remay) utilizes a lightweight spunbond construction that provides good filtration efficiency with minimal pressure drop. This media offers consistent performance and good durability despite its lightweight nature. It is particularly suitable for applications requiring good air permeability combined with reliable particle capture.
Beane Knit employs a specialized knit construction that provides excellent flexibility and good dust cake release properties. High-Performance Specialty Media
P84 Felt represents a premium high-temperature solution capable of operating at temperatures up to 500°F (260°C). This polyimide fiber media offers outstanding chemical resistance and excellent filtration efficiency. The unique fiber properties provide superior cake release and exceptional durability in extreme conditions, making it ideal for demanding high-temperature applications.
Polypropylene Felt (PP) delivers reliable filtration performance with excellent chemical resistance, particularly to acids and alkalis. The polypropylene construction provides good durability and consistent performance in challenging chemical environments. This media is especially suitable for applications involving aggressive chemical exposure at moderate temperatures.
Polyphenylene Sulfide (PPS) offers exceptional chemical and temperature resistance, capable of operating continuously at temperatures up to 375°F (190°C). 22oz 100% Teflon Felt represents the ultimate solution for chemical resistance and high-temperature performance. Liquid Filtration Media
PE Micron (Liquid Bags) utilizes polyethylene construction optimized for liquid filtration applications. Available in various micron ratings, these bags provide consistent filtration performance and good chemical compatibility. The media is particularly effective for water filtration and general liquid processing applications requiring reliable particle removal.
PP Micron (Liquid Bags) offers enhanced chemical resistance compared to PE, making it suitable for more aggressive liquid filtration applications.
